HAIRCUTS TO HELP A SICK NEIGHBOR

Cut-a-thon for Katie: A Haircut Fund Raiser
Sunday, September 18th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Hair Care by Yolanda
will open at 9:00 a.m. that day to take appointments.
Walk-ins are welcome.

Getting a haircut at Hair Care by Yolanda this Sunday can give a sick Windsor Terrace neighbor some financial relief. Katie McGloin, a mother of two young boys (nine months old and four years old), was recently diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. The road to recovery will be long. And, as you can imagine, costly.

You can be of help to this young woman by getting a haircut for a suggested donation of $40.00 for an adult's cut and $25.00 for a child's cut. All proceeds will go to Katie and her family. All donations are welcome, and every penny helps.

Hair Care by Yolanda is at 142 E. 4th Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Greenwood Avenue. Phone number: (718) 437-4270.

If you have any questions, call Karen Hennegan at (646) 221-8607 or send an e-mail to kespeer [at] yahoo.com.

Two fund raisers were held for Katie in June--a bake sale sponsored by the children and parents of the Pre-K 3B class of 2011 at Immaculate Heart of Mary and Chi-Chi NY Inc., and a Zumba class at Cora Dance Studio.
