UPDATE: Arrest in Fatal Stabbing on 40th Street
Someone stabbed and killed twenty-eight-year-old Obedo Tum outside of his apartment building on 40th Street on Friday night. He and his roommate and one or more other people were drinking inside of his apartment at 1360 40th Street when they got into what has been variously described as a brawl, a fight, and a verbal dispute.
They ended up outdoors, where the fight continued. One of the men--the roommate is being sought--stabbed the victim once in the abdomen. The NYPD responded at about 11:35 p.m. to a call that was made to 911. Mr. Tum was taken to Kings County Hospital.
The building, located between 13th and 14th avenues, is in the 66th Precinct.
