Occupy Kensington (Brooklyn) General Assembly
Monday, July 16th, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Occupy Kensington will hold its next general assembly on Monday. OK's main issues are
- workers' rights/Golden Farm,
- public space (the need for a park or a community center), and
- Windsor Terrace as a food desert (now that Key Food, a supermarket, has closed, to be replaced by Walgreens, not a supermarket).
At Monday's meeting, the conversation will focus on building Occupy Kensington--by defining it and working toward getting the maximum number of people involved.
Meet on the E. 5th Street side of the former El Gavilan Restaurant, at the corner of Church Avenue. But if the weather's bad, the meeting will take place at 309 E. 5th Street.
