NEW YORK CARES ABOUT KENSINGTON AND WINDSOR TERRACE

Volunteer opportunities are available through New York Cares to work with children in Kensington and Windsor Terrace and with adults in Kensington. For children: reading, crafts, and soccer. For adults: socializing.

Wake up and share favorite books with elementary school students before they start their summer camp. Support early readers in understanding the joys of a good story, and make crafts after the completion of the book. Fridays through August 10th.

Summer Soccer with PS 130 K (K = Brooklyn)

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Cultivate the next Pelé or Ronaldo with a day of fun. Support students as they learn about soccer and work on fundamental skills during their summer program. Mondays through August 20th.


Afternoon Social with the Seniors of Selfhelp Community Services in BrooklynWednesday, 7/25/2012
12:45 PM - 4:00 PM

Help throw an afternoon gathering for Holocaust Survivors living in Brooklyn. Show the seniors a good time by dancing and mingling with them and enjoying good conversation. Assistance is needed with event set up and clean up, plating and serving meals and socializing with the seniors. Also on Thursday, August 2nd, and Tuesday, August 7th.
