FEES MAY DOUBLE FOR USING PUBLIC TENNIS COURTS

From a neighbor:
The parks department is planning on DOUBLING fees to use tennis courts and recreation centers this summer. That is an increase from $100 to $200.

All comments have been heard. BUT....no decision has been made. The NYC Parks Department Legal Affairs officer stated that at this point, the most effective method is to WRITE your opposition to the Parks Commissioner, who is a mayoral appointee and will be making a decision on this shortly.
In addition, the mayor DOES pay very close attention to 311 stats and was also advised that in addition to a letter to Adrian Benepe, a 311 complaint can't hurt. Please pass this along to all tennis players who may want to complain about this regressive tax and unfair increase.
