66TH PRECINCT'S WORDS OF WISDOM ON THE WEATHER EMERGENCY

From the 66th Precinct:
Please prepare for the snow that is expected to fall tonight. The current forecast calls for 4-8 inches of snow expected to fall overnight with wind gusts up to 30 MPH. We are here to help in any way.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to arrive to work, rushing in the snow can and will only cause an accident. Park your car legally, and, if possible, park on the left side of the street; Sanitation plows to the right.

If you decide to drive, make sure you have a full tank of gas and a shovel in your car. Any further help, please contact the 66th Precinct at 718-851-5611.

Mayor Bloomberg has issued a Weather Emergency for the city and is urging residents to avoid driving if possible. The Weather Emergency declaration also allows the city to tow any vehicle blocking roadways or impeding the ability to plow streets.

Alternate side of the street parking has been suspended citywide until further notice. Parking meters are also suspended throughout the city. Garbage collection will also be suspended.
