THE NYPD'S CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY

Albemarle Neighborhood Association Meeting:
 Citizens Police Academy
Thursday, March 22nd, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Guest speaker:
Jim Henning, ANA Second Vice President,
Security/Crime Prevention/Community Stabilization Officer

Jim Henning will speak at ANA's community meeting next week about the NYPD's Citizen's Police Academy, which he participated in and completed. CPA is intended to open the lines of communication between the community and the police department. From the NYPD website:
The Citizen’s Police Academy offers community members the opportunity to experience similar training to that of police recruits at the police academy. This fifteen-week course covers topics such as police science, law, and state of the art policing strategies currently employed by the NYPD.

327 E. 5th Street, corner of Church Avenue
Use the wheelchair-accessible entrance on the ground floor.

Foodtown and ANA will provide refreshments.
