Tour de Brooklyn, 2009
The 8th Annual Tour de Brooklyn will pedal its way through Kensington and seven other neighborhoods this Sunday. In 2009, the last year the route passed through Kensington, more than 2,000 people rode.
Open to riders of all ages and abilities, the 21.5 miles is traveled at a leisurely, family-friendly pace, allowing participants to take in the sights of each neighborhood they pass through, possibly for the first time.
The tour is held every year on the first Sunday after Memorial Day weekend. The starting point and route change every year.
