Two of the deacons recently ordained in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn serve in neighborhood churches.
John M. Cantirino, 54, of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (IHM), is active in the parish as a lector, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, a member of the adult faith formation team, and parish trustee. IHM is located at 2805 Fort Hamilton Parkway, between E. 4th and E. 5th streets, on the Windsor Terrace/Kensington border.
Felipe D. Almendarez, 62, of Holy Name of Jesus Church, is active in the parish as a lector and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Holy Name is located at 245 Prospect Park West, between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue, in Windsor Terrace.
