MEET ARTISTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND VIEW THEIR WORK

Many artists in Brooklyn are opening their studios to the public today and tomorrow as part of GO, a "community-curated open studio project." Visitors will be able to vote for the artists whose work they'd like included in an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum on December 1st.

Five studios are in either Kensington or Parkville, and twelve are in Windsor Terrace. Click on those two links for
  • artists' names,
  • studio addresses,
  • types of media they work in (photography, painting, illustration, etc.),
  • accessibility status (if the studio can be reached by elevator, if it's on the ground floor, and if it's wheelchair accessible),
  • child-friendly art,
  • pet-friendly buildings, and
  • if strollers are welcome.

A map here shows the locations of the 1,712 artists throughout Brooklyn with open studios. Before leaving home, you can plan your itinerary online and/or download the iPhone app.
