STRONG RESPONSE TO BONE MARROW DRIVE

Family members, friends, neighbors, and total strangers--more than 300 in all--participated in a bone marrow drive on Monday at P.S. 154 in hopes of helping Aidan Seeger, the six-year-old Windsor Terrace boy who has a rare brain disorder. If cells swabbed from a participant's cheeks are a match for Aidan's, that person can donate bone marrow to him for a transplant.

All samples become part of the Be The Match Registry®. Aidan's sample will be tested against everyone who participated on Monday and everyone else in the national registry. The more people in the registry, the better Aidan's chances, and the better the chances for anyone else who needs a bone marrow transplant.

You don't have to go to a bone marrow drive to participate: you can get a home testing kit mailed to your house. Use the swabs, return it to Be The Match, and you'll be entered in the registry.

Aidan's family also needs help with expenses. If you can help, mail a check made payable to Aidan Seeger to
