Denny's Pub will hold its annual Christmas party and Toys for Tots toy drive on Saturday, December 13th, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

 

The price of admission is an unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $20. The toys will be donated to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program, to be distributed to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.

 

Denny's asks that the gifts be appropriate for a child--no toy guns, for example.

 

Share fun and food and meet your neighbors.

 

DJ Big G's Karaoke will be your host for karaoke, starting at 8:00 p.m.

Used Toy and Book Sale

Sunday, April 2nd, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.

 

The Craft Salon will hold a used toy and book sale on Sunday, April 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
 
The day before, on Saturday, April 1st, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., you're invited to donate gently-used toys and books for the sale. If that time frame doesn't work for you, arrange a different time by texting (917) 324-8290 or e-mailing dari@thecraftsalonstudio.com.

 

Toys need to have all of their parts in working order. Stuffed animals can't be accepted.

 

Books can be anywhere from baby books up to young adult books.
 
On Sunday, April 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visit The Craft Salon to shop for toys and books at rock-bottom prices (nothing above $5).

 

All of the proceeds will be used to benefit Brownsville Abroad. "Started in 2016, the travel club is helping underserved student populations discover the world beyond the traditional classroom." HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE AT BROOKLYN COMMUNITY BOARD 7

 

Donations of new, unwrapped toys for children (infants to 18-year-olds) are being accepted for Community Board 7's annual Holiday Toy Drive. Bring them to the board office from Tuesday, November 22nd, through Wednesday, December 21st. The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hi all –
Just wanted to write a quick note about my recent experience at Rich Frog Toys on Church. I went there over the weekend for a couple of birthday presents and was amazed at how much the store has expanded since I was there last. Every time I go, there seems to be more. I've been able to shop for babies all the way up through my 8 year old nephew and the toys have been both high quality and reasonably priced.

Per usual, Alexandra was so helpful at pointing out age appropriate toys in the price ranges I was looking for and was totally non-pressuring as I looked (with my two children browsing as well).

Rich Frog is such a wonderful resource in the neighborhood – and every time I've been it seems I've gotten something extra – a small cloth reusable bag last time I was there, $5 coupons for my next visit this time--between the quality, service, and extras, it's always a great experience. Not related in any way to the owner – just found it an exceptional experience.
