Cultural Planting Workshop
Saturday, June 2nd, noon to 4:00 p.m.

Susan Braverman will lead a free planting and gardening workshop for adults and children that is focused on herbs and vegetables from around the world.

Learn how to take cuttings and grow plants at home. Each participant can take home two cuttings for their own garden or window-sill.

Susan, a Kensington resident and co-founder of The Greenworks Team, is a Horticultural Therapist Master and founder of Urban Oasis, a rehab program that includes an inner city farm, two greenhouses, and a farmers market.

FREE HERB PLANTING WORKSHOP WITH SUSAN BRAVERMAN, HORTICULTURAL THERAPIST



Herb Planting Workshop with Susan Braverman,
Horticultural Therapist (free)
Saturday, May 12th, 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Susan Braverman leads this free workshop during which participants learn about herbs, how to start them from seed, how to separate and plant, and how to care for the seedlings.During this hands-on workshop you will work with herbs that can be grown indoors or outside, under grow lights or on window sills. 

Adults and families are welcome to attend. Supplies will be provided.

Participants will take home two herbs, to be planted in their gardens or placed indoors.

  • care for their plants.

Each participant will take home two potted plants and a how-to guide on cutting propagation. Supplies for the class will be provided.

POT A FIG TREE (FREE)

In this free hands-on workshop, Horticultural Therapist Master Susan Braverman will teach people how to grow a fig tree. During the workshop, you'll pot a sapling to take home. Fig trees thrive in small space and in containers.
