MURDER OF CHILD-MURDERER'S BROTHER IN HIS HOME ON E. 2ND STREET

UPDATE, June 28, 2017: Despite initial reports about his death,
"The city’s Medical Examiner’s office has declared Tzvi (Jack) Aron’s bizarre death 'undetermined.' An undetermined classification means that the medical examiner has concluded the investigation and cannot rule with certainty after taking into account all the available information and any test results." Tzvi "Jack" Aron, who had been missing since Tuesday, was found dead in his family home in Kensington at around 2:45 p.m. on Friday. He was a brother of Levi Aron, who is in prison for kidnapping eight-year-old Leiby Kletzky in 2011 and murdering and dismembering him in that house.

Yerachmiel Aron found his twenty-nine-year-old brother Tzvi stuffed into a basement closet, duct-taped and wrapped in a blanket. Tzvi had lived in the basement.

The police pronounced him dead on the scene. His death has been classified as a homicide. Tzvi had reportedly told police that someone had threatened him last month.

The Aron house is located at 466 E. 2nd Street in Kensington, between Avenue C and Cortelyou Road.
