Writing the Self: Our Stories, Healing, and Magic for Liberation
Saturday, June 10th, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Join writer, journalist, and Kensington resident Chaya Babu for an original workshop focused on self-healing, liberation, and magic. Participants will read poems and writing from a range of writers and learn to utilize their own writing for self-care and preservation.
About Chaya Babu
Babu's writing focuses on themes of gender, race, sexuality, cities, migration, and systemic and intergenerational trauma. Her work has been published in Vice, The Wall Street Journal, The Feminist Wire, and more.
She was a 2016 Buzzfeed Emerging writers Fellow and 2016 AAWW Open City Fellow. She is currently completing her MFA.
