VIGIL FOR DAY LABORER WHO DIED ON SUNDAY
Stand for the Lives of Day Laborers - Vigil for Sirajul Hoque
Friday, June 23rd, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
While on the job at a construction site in East Flatbush this past Sunday, day laborer Sirajul Hoque fell three stories to his death. Loose scaffolding was reported to have led to his fall.
A resident of Brooklyn for more than ten years, Mr. Hoque was an undocumented worker who was helping to provide for his family in Bangladesh.
Join DRUM - Desis Rising Up & Moving tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Bangladesh Muslim Center to pay respects to Sirajul Hoque during his Janaja (funeral). Demand that construction companies create safer work environments by investing in proper training and safety for their workers.
