Stretch in Peace: Yoga in Green-wood
Saturday, July 12th, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, August 9th, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Two active, gentle, outdoor yoga sessions in quiet, scenic Green-wood Cemetery will focus on breath and natural alignment for the individual.
Barrie Raffel, a registered yoga teacher who has been teaching since 1997, will lead a session in July and another one in August. To learn about her and her approach, visit her website at www.barrieraffelyoga.com.
Bring a mat, water, and a washcloth or a small towel with you, and wear comfortable clothing. Participants are invited to stay after the hour-long session for a picnic breakfast of tea, coffee, and light breakfast snacks.
The fee is $20 for a member of Green-Wood or Brooklyn Historical Society and $25 for a non-member. Tickets will be sold until an hour before the event.
The meeting place for the sessions is the entrance to Green-wood Cemetery at the main arches at 25th Street and 5th Avenue.
