Friends of Greenwood Playground are proud to announce that registration for the Derby Fit fall session is now open!

Derby Fit is a roller derby-based fitness league for women at Greenwood Playground (Fort Hamilton Parkway at East 5th Street in Brooklyn). All levels are welcome! Ariel Assault, of the Gotham Girls Roller Derby, teaches the class. She has taught the program since its inception in 2010.

This fall, classes start September 7, 2013, and end October 12, 2013. Classes run every Saturday for a six-week session. Each class will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes, from 9:00 a.m - 10:30 a.m.

The fee for the session is $100. All proceeds above the instructor fee will benefit Friends of Greenwood Playground.

Classes due to inclement weather will be made up the day after on Sundays at the regular class time.

If you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The easiest and fastest way is via PayPal, using the GreenwoodFriendsFunds [at] gmail [dot] com address as the destination for your payment.

Once payment is received, you will get a confirmation e-mail with registration/waiver forms to be submitted on the first day of class. We will also bring extra waivers and pens for the first day.

If you have any questions, please contact Shana at derbyfit.greenwood [at] gmail [dot] com. We are also on Facebook and Twitter!

Please refer to our website for more information on class structure, including proper gear and safety requirements.

Registration ends on August 31, 2013.

See you soon!
