From time to time, a piece of Kensington history reappears at Church and McDonald: the pavement wears away and a bit of the trolley tracks gets exposed. Residents report it to 311, and the Department of Transportation again paves over the tracks.
Part of the track is visible right now near the corner by the bank--in the crosswalk that goes across McDonald.
A lot of drivers must be traveling west on Church and making a right turn onto McDonald, considering how quickly the pavement there wears away. The two bus lines might be a contributing factor too, since they usually ride in the curb lane when they cross Church.
Filling out the 311 online form for requesting resurfacing only takes about three minutes. For the location question, you can either choose "intersection" and write the names of the two streets or choose "street" and write the bank's address: 101 Church Avenue. Let's get this thing fixed!
