CHILD STRUCK AT HIGH-RISK INTERSECTION

Movement to Get a Crossing Guard Stationed
at the Caton Ave./McDonald Ave. Intersection

My child attends P.S. 230, and I have been trying for a number of years to get a crossing guard stationed at the Caton Ave./McDonald Ave. intersection. My child was rewarded for my efforts by being struck while crossing that intersection this past June.

I have since enlisted Assemblymember Jim Brennan and City Councilmember Brad Lander to the cause. Jim Brennan is trying to have P.S. 230 administration, Brooklyn Prospect Charter School administration, concerned  parents, and neighbors meet with the New York City Department of Transportation and the NYPD.

We need your voice. Anyone living in this neighborhood knows how dangerous this intersection is and may also have stories to share. I am asking that you please contact Jim Brennan's office at seerym@assembly.state.nyc and Brad Lander's office at http://bradlander.com/contact.

I will let you all know when a date has been set for the meeting, but your representatives need to hear from you now.

Thank you,
Troy Martin
