The southbound Ocean Parkway
Service Road from Avenue C to
Ditmas Avenue and the northbound Ocean Parkway Service
Road from 18th Avenue to Caton Avenue will get milled on
- Tuesday, August 7th,
- Wednesday, August 8th, and
- Thursday, August 9th.
Milling is the grinding off of the top layer of asphalt or surface of a roadway in preparation for paving. It's noisy work.
About three weeks from those dates, paving will begin.
The night before a block is scheduled to be milled or paved, the
Department of Transportation is supposed to post tow-away/no parking signs on both sides of that
block. Notice is also posted on the Department of Transportation's Brooklyn Milling and Paving Schedule.
The milling and paving schedules can change if the weather or an emergency prevent work from being done.
