SECRETS OF SOUTH INDIAN COOKING

Secrets of South Indian Cooking
Saturday, August 18th, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Learn the secrets of South Indian cooking from Mukti Banerjee. Prepare dishes that are suited for the hot weather months.

Walk into Mukti's kitchen and partake of masala tea. As you cook, pick up tips about healthy eating and food preparation, followed by a sit-down dinner. You'll be given printed copies of the recipes, but bring a notebook with you, if you like. The gluten-free menu for this class is coconut chutney, dosa, dahi vada, and samber.

Menu
  • Dosa (flaky crepes)
  • Coconut Chutney (coriander and coconut relish)
  • Dahi Vada (fried lentil soaked in yogurt)
  • Samber (tomato lentil soup with ginger)

Fee: $65 per person. If you bring a friend with you (who will also pay for the class), you'll get a $10 discount on your fee.
