Prospect Farm's annual Earth Day celebration will be held on Saturday, April 26th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
See what your neighbors are growing, and join in these activities:
- garden tours
- compost giveaway
- bake sale
- kids' activities and crafts
- live music from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This is a free event, although donations to support Prospect Farm are always happily accepted (Venmo @prospectfarmbk). Prospect Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; contributions are tax-deductible.

"BLUEGRASS ON THE GREEN GRASS" OPEN BLUEGRASS JAM SESSIONS (FREE)
Open bluegrass jam sessions for musicians and music lovers will return to the East Fourth Street Community Garden for the third season in a row, weather permitting.
The series will take place from May 10th through September, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
All skill levels and ages are welcome to participate.

72ND PRECINCT COMMUNITY COUNCIL WILL MEET IN APRIL WITH RESIDENTS OF WINDSOR TERRACE, GREENWOOD HEIGHTS, SOUTH SLOPE, AND SUNSET PARK
The next meeting between the public, the 72nd Precinct Community Council, and officers of the 72nd Precinct will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Meet and talk with the precinct's Commanding Officer, Captain Mobeen Yasin, who started at the 72nd Precinct in January.
Everyone who lives or works in Windsor Terrace, Greenwood Heights, South Slope, and Sunset Park is invited to the meeting to discuss past crimes and learn what the precinct is doing to prevent future crimes.
Find out about the types of crime that have been taking place, their frequency, any enabling factors, and how to prevent them.
Members of the public are invited to voice their concerns about criminal activity, including armed robberies, rape and other forms of sexual assaults, home break-ins, burglaries in local stores, bank robberies, speeding drivers, stolen bicycles, package theft, and other crimes.
