Wednesday, December 6th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The neighborhood "Stop the Tax Scam Community Resistance Party" offers several ways to speak out against the House and Senate versions of the tax bill:
- Join a Text-a-Thon. Learn how to set up peer-to-peer texting on your laptop.
- Make phone calls to vulnerable members of the House and Senate.
- Write postcards.
From the organizers: "Come make noise. This tax bill is NOT what Americans want. Meet your neighbors and learn about upcoming actions. Get involved and take back our Democracy from special interests."
The event will take place at Brooklyn Commune on Wednesday, December 6th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. BYOB or order beer, wine, and food from the Butterfunk Kitchen menu.
RSVP to acdesign @ verizon.net.
Thank you to Eugenie Woo and Chris Scott, the owners of Brooklyn Commune and Butterfunk Kitchen, for again generously donating the use of their restaurant.

By subway: Take the F or G train to the Fort Hamilton Parkway station. Exit at the Prospect Avenue end of the station. Do not exit at the Fort Hamilton Parkway end; that would put you on the wrong side of Ocean Parkway.
