BROKEN WINDOWS POLICING AND ITS ALTERNATIVES

Workshop on Just and Safe Communities
and Open Meeting of Occupy Kensington
Monday, April 24th, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Broken Windows policing has proved to be controversial and polarizing in its theory and practice. A free workshop on alternatives to Broken Windows policing will be led by organizers from El Grito de Sunset Park.

In addition to a discussion, attendees will engage in activities for exercising analytical thinking in resolving neighborhood situations that promote justice.

El Grito is a community organization resisting injustices and fighting for human rights through participatory defense, civic engagement, and documenting the experiences of marginalized communities.

The workshop will be followed by a brief open meeting of Occupy Kensington, the host of the event.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
