Ditmas Park Helpers' End-of-Summer Electronics Recycling Campaign
At the drop-off site on the final day
Ditmas Park Helpers' first End-of-Summer
Electronics Recycling Campaign was a big success. During the month of August, more than 60 major electronics (lots of computers and air conditioners) and 100 cans of used paint were properly
recycled and disposed of, convincing the Helpers of the importance of turning it into a year-round campaign.
These are the items that the Helpers will accept:
- electronics
- air conditioners
- TVs, VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, Blu-ray players
- speakers/music equipment
- computers (laptops, desktops)
- tablets
- e-readers
- audio-visual equipment
- video games
- cell phones
- cans of paint*
They won't accept these items:
- microwaves
- refrigerators
- smoke detectors
- carbon monoxide detectors
- media: CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes
- dehumidifiers
- tires
If you have any questions about what they will or won't accept, call them at (347) 228-2625 or send an e-mail to ditmasparkhelpers @ gmail.com.
