FOOD! ANIMALS! KIDS! COME TO THE CHURCH AVENUE STREET FAIR


A lot is happening on Church Ave. from E. 10th St. to Argyle Rd. this Sunday 4/21 from noon to 6:00pm...

FOOD!
Come enjoy Church Avenue’s great food & find out more about several restaurants opening soon on Church!

  • During the Restaurant Hour & Food Contest (1:00 – 2:00), Shayna’s, Lark, Meat Palace, Am Thai Bistro & Downtown Natural will offer $1 samples of favorite dishes for the public & for our team of judges. Awards will be given at 2:00.
  • Taste Chipolte Pimento Cheese on Cornbread Toast with Okra & other great dishes from the new Southern-inspired bistro (in front of 1021 Church), opening soon on Church.
  • Owners of Wheated Brooklyn (Church off Coney Island Ave.) and Anarkali Indian Cuisine (corner of Westminster) will be on hand with information & sneak peeks inside their soon-to-open restaurants. [Update: Wheated won't be able to do sneak peeks of his business at the street fair after all.]
  • The long-awaited Richie Rich (1219 Church) will be preparing jerk chicken.

ANIMALS!

  • Pawsitive Veterinary (1103 Church) will be giving out free pet accessories and will be joined by local photographer Beja B. who will be taking free pet portraits starting at noon.
  • Sean Casey will be on hand with mobile pet adoptions (near Argyle Road).

KIDS!
Get on a ride, explore the FDNY’s Fire Safety Experience or spend a free hour in Honeydew Drop's indoor playground (1113 Church), do arts & crafts & get your face painted (also at Honeydew), learn to belly dance (at 2:30 from Namaste Yoga) or enjoy a kids’ concert (4:00 at Children’s Corner at the corner of Stratford Rd.).

  • 10% discount and free PLAYSOCCER decals all day for kids who show up for a snack or lunch at Lark (1007 Church) in their AYSO uniforms. Blue Marble ice cream and Magpies’ homemade poptarts, anyone?
  • All kids' activities will be held at E. 10th Street & Church unless a different address is given above.
