PUMPKIN RECYCLING
In addition to accepting the usual items for composting--fruit waste, vegetable waste, coffee grinds, coffee filters,
tea, and stale bread--the Windsor Terrace-P.S. 154 Greenmarket will be accepting pumpkins and Jack O' Lanterns.
Starting this Sunday, November 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., bring your pumpkins and Jack O' Lanterns to the greenmarket to be turned into plant food.
If you bring Jack O' Lanterns, remove the candle first. Wax inhibits the microbes that help the composting process.
