CONCERTS ON PORCHES: SWEET WORLD, ELIZA EDENS, ALEGBA & FRIENDS

From Operation Gig!

Sweet World

Friday, July 24, 2026 · 6:00–8:00 PM
294 Argyle Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11218

Trumpeter/composer Kenny Warren's music embodies the adventurous spirit of jazz and is inspired by the multitudinous sounds of New York. "Non-stop eccentricity and rhythmically complex music, all while achieving a fleet-footed and airy spirit…. simultaneously free-flowing and absolutely thrilling” (NYC Jazz Record). Featuring Nathan Ellman-Bell on drums and Christopher Hoffman on cello

Eliza Edens

Saturday, July 25, 2026 · 4:00–6:00 PM
1415 Dorchester Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11226

Alt-folk for (and from) neighborhood folk. "With a love for tinkering with alternate tunings à la Nick Drake, a curious harmonic ear from years of childhood classical piano lessons, and an ever-expanding affinity for words and stories, Edens’ songs build a kaleidoscopic world." - Club Passim

Alegba & Friends

Sunday, July 26, 2026 · 4:00–6:00 PM
447 Rugby Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11226

Alegba and Friends is a collective led by Haitian roots and jazz musician Alegba Jahyile. Born out of spontaneous, daily jam sessions in the Prospect Park during the pandemic!

Operation Gig! provides live music performances outdoors on weekends.

Concerts are canceled when weather conditions aren't suitable for outdoor activities. Before heading to a concert, check the Operation Gig! website to make sure it's still scheduled to take place.

The concert series, held on the porches of private houses in Ditmas Park since July 2020, was created in order to offer a venue for musicians to perform during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series provides them with a source of income as well as providing a safe space for neighbors to gather to enjoy live music.

The performances are free, but a suggested donation of $10--which goes directly to the musicians--is more than welcome. Donate either at the performance or online at the tax-deductible Operation Gig Musician Guarantee Fund page on GoFundMe.
