GRAND OPENING OF THE CRAFT SALON'S NEW LOCATION

Grand Opening of The Craft Salon's

New Location

Saturday, March 15th

The Craft Salon has moved east to 1101 Church Avenue. The Grand Opening of the new location will take place on Saturday, March 15th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, music, and refreshments.

The Craft Salon is a multi-disciplinary arts and crafts studio that offers classes for children and adults of all ages.

Bring your anger and frustration with you and express it in a protest sign. We will be on hand to assist you with ideas and execution, listen to all of your woes, and maybe even cry. BYOB.

Join us for our second annual PRIDE PARTY! Drop in between 2 - 5 and create a sign to carry during the pride parade. All materials will be provided.

Kids ages 6 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. Ages 7 and up may be dropped off for one hour.
This is a free event but registration is required.

The Craft Salon's Pride Party will be held on Sunday, June 9th. It's open to ages 0 to 18+ and has a capacity of 45 attendees.

The community group Rainbow Connection offers LGBTQIA+ and questioning youth a safe and accepting environment for engaging in lively conversation and participating in crafts.

The group will meet at The Craft Salon on Sunday, March 24th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fifteen participants between the ages of 0 months and 18+ years can be accommodated.

Children who are age six or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children who are age seven or older can attend on their own.

Craft Salon staff member Austin Tabor will be the instructor.

PRIDE PARTY FOR ALL AGES IN KENSINGTON

Pride Party

Saturday, June 24th, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Craft Salon will hold a free Pride party for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies on Saturday, June 24th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Kids aged 7 and under must be accompanied by their caregiver.

Activities will be offered to engage people of all ages.

You'll have the opportunity to make a button and craft a poster for that evening's NYC Dyke March, Sunday's Heritage of Pride NYC Pride March, or Sunday's Reclaim Pride Coalition - NYC Queer Liberation March. Or include them in The Craft Salon's window display.

Another highlight of the party will be a queer story hour at 11:00 a.m. for kids aged six and younger, with readings from queer kids' titles.

The owners of The Lofty Pigeon, Church Avenue’s new community bookstore, will be on hand to meet the community.

Snacks will be available.
