BRAND NEW BENCHES FOR CHURCH AVENUE

New outdoor seating is coming to Church Avenue! 

To protect the trees on Church Avenue, especially the young ones that were planted recently, neighborhood residents will be working together to build wood benches. Each bench will surround a tree on three sides--all but the curb side, so car doors can be opened without getting dinged.

If you enjoy building or if you'd like to learn how, please join your neighbors as we GRAB A WRENCH, BUILD A BENCH!

Refreshments and snacks will be available for everyone, including pizza donated by Korner Pizza and Beverley Pizza. That should help keep your strength up and put smiles on your faces!

Meet at the green triangle pocket park at Church Avenue and 35th Street, west of Dahill Road.

Beverley Pizza and Cafe opened today, and the friendly staff is ready to serve you.

Choose from the many appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, specialty pizzas, rolls, calzones, heros, pasta dishes, baked dishes, dinner entrees, burgers, and paninis. Their menu also includes Italian coffees (macchiato, cappucino, and more) and four indulgent desserts. The full menu is online at grubHub. 

Beverley Pizza & Cafe is waiting for approval for a wine and beer license.

A regular slice only costs $2. Slices of white pizza and grandma pizza cost less than $3. Yes, you read those prices right!

The restaurant is open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For pick-ups and deliveries, place your order by 10:00 p.m. Delivery is free with an $8 minimum. All major credit cards are accepted. Catering is available.

PIZZERIA/CAFE TO OPEN OFF CHURCH AVENUE

By the end of March, Beverley Pizza & Cafe will open at 358 E. 2nd Street in Kensington. It'll be around the corner from To B Thai, just south of Beverley Road, in the space that was occupied by a hair salon. 

Eve Shakiri, the mother of owner Bennie Shakiri, says that they'll be serving other Italian dishes besides pizza, and they'll have a beer and wine license.
