Freedom Fridays
Hands off NYC
Community Weekend of Action
Friday, December 12th
5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Freedom Fridays is a weekly community grassroots action at the intersection of Church Avenue and Ocean Parkway in Kensington. The goal of Freedom Fridays is to keep America free and share
hope.
This week's Freedom Fridays action is in support of the Hands Off NYC Community Weekend of Action, the goal being to protect neighbors by resisting federal and military intervention (the National Guard and ICE/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in New York City's neighborhoods.
From Freedom Fridays:
Join us to pass out whistle kits, zines, hold signs, dance in the crosswalk and show the drivers and passersby on Ocean Parkway that resistance is normal, accessible, and joyful!
Meet up with other community residents on the northeast corner at 5:30 p.m. and stay as long as you like. Bring signs, if you have any or can make any.
Other groups will be hosting additional actions for the Hands Off NYC Community Weekend of Action (https://www.handsoffnyc.com/community).
