Hands off NYC

Community Weekend of Action 

Saturday, December 13th

10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

 

KWT Up!Rising will host two actions during the Hands Off NYC Community Weekend of Action.

 

The first event, Activism for Introverts, will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13th, and the second one, Activism for Extroverts, will meet at 12:30 p.m.

 

The actions are in support of the Hands Off NYC Community Weekend of Action, the goal being to protect neighbors by resisting federal and military intervention (the National Guard and ICE/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in New York City's neighborhoods.

Here you can do four different things:

1- RSVP for the 'Activism for Introverts' event at 10:00 AM on Saturday 12/13 

2- RSVP for the 'Activism for Extroverts' event at 12:30 PM on Saturday 12/13

3- Add your information to the KWT Up!Rising list to stay in the loop

4- If you attended an event previously, offer to help!

At 'Activism for Introverts' we will:

• Educate ourselves on our rights and the rights of others
• Help make flyers to distribute
• Learn about the SALUTE method of reporting ICE
• Discover new sources of information
• Learn about and make whistle kits
• Brainstorm joyful community actions we can take together
• OPTIONAL Join the 'Activism for Extroverts' event at 12:30 and head out to the streets to spread the word of how to fight ICE.

At 'Activism for Extroverts' we will:

• Have a brief orientation to understand what we are distributing
• Spread out in Windsor Terrace and Kensington to distribute information and whistle kits
• Depending on the number of participants, we will head to Church Ave F stop and Fort Hamilton F stops, and possibly more!

Both events will meet at 221/243 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11218

Look for yellow signs and balloons! (We are trying to keep the joy in resistance!)
