THREE PORCH CONCERTS THIS WEEKEND (OUTDOORS)

 

This weekend's Operation Gig porch concerts in Ditmas Park:

Elysse
Friday, July 22nd, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Elysse is a Brooklyn-based vocalist and composer who crafts cinematic, genre-bending songs. As a vocalist featured in numerous musical groups, she has held jazz residencies weekly at Minton’s Playhouse and monthly at Soho Ludlow House and has frequently performed at esteemed venues all over NYC, including The Blue Note, Small’s Jazz Club, Joe’s Pub, The New York Historical Society, Webster Hall, and National Sawdust.

Case Watson & The Fools
Saturday July 23rd, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

"Deeply atmospheric and descriptive ... [Case Watson] tells a story and transports the listener to another plane. Features masterful instrumentation that transitions suddenly from moments of calm to whirling sections of chaos."

The Defay Brothers featuring Benito Gonzalez
Sunday, July 24th, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Neighborhood treasures Ansy & Gil Defay team up with Will Slater (bass), Jaylen Petinaud (drums), and Grammy-nominated pianist Benito Gonzalez for an afternoon of jazz, soul, r&b, and Creole/Haitian music.
