The 66th and 72nd precincts have posted a request for donations of over-the-counter medical supplies for humanitarian relief for Ukraine. All NYPD precincts are accepting the items.
The Russian American Officers Association has set up collection bins for humanitarian
aid in every precinct. Despite its name, the members of the association were born in several countries that had been in the former Soviet Union. The association's vice-president, for example, is from Ukraine.
The over-the-counter medical supplies listed below can be donated through Friday, March 11th. They must be new and packaged.
- first aid kits
- aspirins
- acetaminophen
- ibuprofen
- bandages
- gauze
- tourniquets
These items can't be accepted:
- food
- perishable items
- prescription medications
- items that have an expiration date prior to October 2022
