Police Officer Daniel (Danny) McGrath has been awarded a merit promotion to the rank of detective. Detective McGrath and Police Officer Francis Ghanney are the 72nd Precinct's Neighborhood Coordination Officers (NCOs) for Sector A. Their community policing beat covers Windsor Terrace, Greenwood Heights, and South Slope.
In 2015, Detective McGrath was named Police Officer of the Year.
