Celebrate the Winter Solstice at the East 4th Street Community Garden. Gather around a Yule log to greet the new season with warmth and light, stories, stargazing, and seasonal treats.
Stargaze, weather permitting, with local astronomers Irene Pease and Helen Avery, who will be on hand with their telescopes to point out the constellations and explain what the solstice is about.
Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly event. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Arrive early for a better chance to see Venus.
