Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon
Saturday, October 10th, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The first-ever Rock 'n' Rock Brooklyn Half Marathon (a distance of 13.1094 miles) will take place on Saturday, October 10th. It'll start at 7:00 a.m. and have a time limit of four hours.
The race will start at Grand Army Plaza. From there, participants will run on Eastern Parkway, enter Prospect Park and loop around it, exit onto Ocean Parkway, and continue on to Avenue J, returning to Prospect Park via Ocean Parkway and finishing at the Nethermead.
No more than 17,500 runners will be allowed to participate.
The general registration fee for the Rock 'n' Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon is $90. That fee doesn't include the Race It processing fee. Use code PPA (Prospect Park Alliance) to save $20 when you register.
Online registration will close on Sunday, October 4th, at 11:59 p.m. PST (Monday, October 5th, 2:59 a.m., ET). Registration won't be permitted on the day of the race.
Participants will receive
- an official participant t-shirt,
- a gear bag,
- refreshments at the start/finish and along the course,
- a finisher’s medal and certificate,
- live local bands playing along the course, and
- a finish line festival concert.
For four years--from 2011 through 2014--a Rock 'n' Roll Brooklyn 10K was held in Prospect Park.
