Memorial Day Concert
Monday, May 26th, 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The 16th annual Memorial Day concert in Green-wood Cemetery will feature the ISO Symphonic Band playing the works of composer, conductor, author, music lecturer, and pianist Leonard Bernstein, Broadway musical theater lyricist Fred Ebb, composer and pianist Louis Moreau Gottschalk, and other great figures from the music world who are buried in Green-wood.
Bring a blanket so that you can sit down, as chairs won't be provided. Food and refreshments will be sold all day. The concert is free, but register here so your hosts can have an idea of how many people to expect.
Enter Green-wood at 500 25th Street at 5th Avenue, the main entrance.
Directly after the concert, take an hour-long patriotically-themed Memorial Day trolley tour with Green-Wood Historian Jeff Richman. The cost is $10 for members of Green-Wood and $15 for non-members. Click here for more information.
