SUBWAY FROM BROOKLYN TO MANHATTAN A POSSIBILITY FOR SUNDAY

Con Edison reports that power will be restored to lower Manhattan by Saturday at 11:00 p.m. Within two hours of that, service between Manhattan and Brooklyn can resume along the Joralemon Street Tunnel (4 and 5 trains) and the Rutgers Street Tunnel (F train)--both of which are now dry and have their signals working--according to MTA chairperson Joe Lhota and Governor Cuomo. Until then, shuttle buses will continue to carry passengers from Jay Street/ Metro Tech, Barclays Center, and Hewes Street to 54th Street and Lexington Avenue.
