COOLING CENTERS ARE OPEN

Notification issued 6/20/12 at 2:10 PM. The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for New York City until 8:00 PM tonight. Heat Index values are forecast to be between 105 and 108 degrees. These conditions are dangerous to health. Avoid strenuous activity. People without air conditioning, older adults and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk. Cooling Centers are currently open. Cooling Centers may change their hours of operation, so call before you go and ask what their hours are.
