TEEN BATTLE CHEF 2012--IT'S ON!

From New York City Councilmember Brad Lander:
This summer, our office and Family Cook Productions will once again be bringing the Teen Battle Chef program to the Kensington/Windsor Terrace area. Over eight training sessions, teams of students compete to make the winning dish and along the way, pick up healthy cooking and teamwork skills.

Know a student that would be great for Teen Battle Chef?  Students can apply at our website.

After the eight week program, participants will be able to apply for internship and summer employment opportunities, including possible positions with the GrowNYC Youthmarket farm stand at Fort Hamilton Parkway between East 4th Street and East 5th Street.

If you know a young person interested in food, cooking, nutrition, and community engagement, this program is for them!
