TATTOOS PLUS EMBROIDERY

"Needle and Thread":
Selected Works by Angus Hendry and Madison Omahne
through Wednesday, May 23rd

This month's art exhibit at Steeplechase Coffee Shop combines traditional tattoo designs by Angus Hendry with embroidery by Madison Omahne. Together they form A&M Custom Embroidery.
"The process evolves from a custom tattoo drawn onto raw canvas by Angus, then Madison stitches the outline in black and highlights the image with color. The design is embroidered onto raw canvas, like a tattoo is inked into skin as the artists reinterpret these classic images to create a work of their own."
The Steeplechase blog reports that "Angus and Madison’s show is almost sold out! They sold more than half their pieces at the opening setting a new Steeplechase record."
