KENSINGTON FELONY CRIMES

Mon April 16   Grand Larceny @ E 9 St & Ditmas Ave
Arriving home, a woman discovered she’d lost her wallet. It contained her driver’s license, social security, and credit and debit cards. She called her credit card company to report the cards missing and to cancel them, where she learned someone had already charged $300 to her account.

Mon April 16   Grand Larceny @ McDonald & Church avenues
That same day, a man appeared at the Precinct saying he’d lost his wallet containing his debit and social security card. Someone found it, however, and made $900 in unauthorized charges to his card.

Tues April 17   Robbery @ E 8 St & Cortelyou Rd
A man, 48, got into a dispute with two acquaintances he’d invited into his apartment. The argument got worse. Using a blunt object and an electric hair clipper, the thieves struck the man repeatedly on his head, face, and hands and then walked off with $1,600 in cash from his apartment. The man was taken to Maimonides Hospital to check out the laceration to his head.

Fri April 20   Grand Larceny @ Ocean Parkway & Albemarle Rd
A man riding by on a yellow bike snatched an iPhone from the hand of a 32-yr-old woman as she was walking down the street. He did it gently: no force was used in the theft.
