Federico Chamorro Yax, 22, was taken into custody last night. He's charged with sexual abuse and assault stemming from attacks on three women. Two of the attacks happened on Sunday.

A Brooklyn man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two women in Sunset Park on Sunday morning and charged with assault, sexual abuse and forcible touching, according to police. [He] followed the women from a subway station before attacking them, police say. He ran up behind the women and sexually assaulted one of them before the other intervened and tackled the suspect.
Investigators have connected this assault to another on Sept. 4. At least 10 assaults like Sunday’s have taken place in the borough since March, police say, but Yax is not considered a suspect in those cases.
