Friends, Tomorrow Friends of Greenwood Playground is holding a relief effort for victims of Sandy from 10 AM TIL 2 PM. We will be at the entrance to the ball field on Ft Hamilton Parkway, close to the F/G entrance. Specifically, we will be collecting supplies for both The Armory, and John Jay High School. Please read what is needed carefully - THANKS!
Here is what is needed:
FOR JOHN JAY:
* GENTLY USED CLOTHING FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN. SORTED AND LABELED! All should be sorted into separate bags, in similar sizes - IE MEN'S XL CLOTHING, WOMEN'S LARGE CLOTHING, ETC.
* NEW PACKAGED SOCKS, & UNDERWEAR FOR MEN, WOMEN and CHILDREN
* WINTER STUFF - GLOVES, SCARVES, HATS FOR MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN
* TOWELS
***AT THIS TIME THEY DO NOT NEED DIAPERS.
FOR THE ARMORY (ADULTS ONLY)
* NEW PACKAGED UNDERWEAR AND SOCKS - ADULT SIZES ONLY
*TOWELS
*BLANKETS
We will let you know what times we will be collecting on Saturday as well - stay tuned. Thanks all - if you want to come by and sit for an hour, we will also welcome that!
ALSO - Volunteers are needed at both locations - mostly in the evenings. If you can make it over there starting at around 6-8 PM, that is when they need the most help.

COLLECTING FOR HURRICANE RELIEF AT GREENWOOD PLAYGROUND
Friends of Greenwood Playground has organized a two-day relief effort for people who suffered major losses because of Hurricane Sandy and are being housed in two shelters in Park Slope.
