THE BEER MENU AT THE ADIRONDACK

The beer menu at The Adirondack offers 20 different beers--12 on tap, 6 in bottles, and 2 in cans.

The  tap beers, in 10-ounce to 16-ounce glasses, feature New York brands like Great South Bay, Ithaca, Peekskill, Newburgh, and Southern Tier.

The bottled beers, in 12-ounce bottles, include a gluten-free beer from Albany and a hard cider from Warwick.

The canned beers, also 12 ounces, are a lager and a cream ale.

The Adirondack is open
Monday through Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.,
Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4  a.m.,
Saturday, from noon to 4 a.m., and
Sunday, from noon to 2 a.m.

Credit cards are accepted.

Agenda

The Adirondack has applied for an unenclosed sidewalk café that would accommodate twenty-two people at ten tables. The bar, whose original name was Mohawk Tavern, is at 1241 Prospect Avenue, between Greenwood Avenue and Reeve Place, in the building formerly occupied by Crossroads Café.

Also on the agenda is a proposal by Salmar Industries to change two east-west streets, 29th Street and 3rd Avenue and 31st Street and 3rd Avenue, from one-way to two-way streets beneath the Gowanus Expressway.

The meeting is open to the public.

THE TAVERN WITH NO NAME

UPDATE: The bar's new name is The Adirondack.

The Tavern Formerly Known as Mohawk will soon have a new name. DNAinfo.com reports that the renaming follows on the heels of some neighborhood residents and members of the Mohawk Nation expressing their dissatisfaction with the use of the word "Mohawk."

MOHAWK TAVERN OPEN TONIGHT

Mohawk Tavern's grand opening is underway right now, with cocktails, wine, and beer. New York State beers and wines are featured.

The tavern is in the former location of Crossroads Cafe. 

The official Grand Opening will be this Saturday, May 3rd, at 4:00 p.m. or so.
