SUGGEST NEW CITY SERVICES OR CAPITAL PROJECTS THAT WOULD BENEFIT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Submit your FY 2024 Budget Recommendations!

Each year, in accordance with the New York City Charter, all 59 NYC Community Boards are required to submit Community Budget Recommendations for NYC’s capital and expense budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. Community members are invited to participate in the budget process by suggesting a new city service or capital project.

Please complete the CB14 District Needs Survey or fill out the questionnaire posted on our website (or both!) to help determine needs, support those already identified, and provide input to help shape future requests and priorities. The deadline to submit recommendations for Fiscal Year 2024 is Friday, September 9, 2022.

We urge you to take a look at the most recent Statement of Community District Needs and Community Board Budget Requests

Note, a capital project generally has a value of $35,000 or more and a “useful life” of at least five years. Requests for ongoing programs and regular city services such as street signs, building inspections, parks maintenance, road repair, or tree pruning, for example, should be directed to the Community Board office as a routine service delivery request. However, if the suggested budget item is for a new program, service, or capital project, please submit a budget recommendation to support the funding of this item.

All submitted recommendations will be considered at Community Board 14’s public hearing on community budget recommendations for fiscal year 2024 on Monday, September 12, 2022. The location and time of the public hearing will be announced at a later date.
