LEAF DROP-OFF AT THE EAST FOURTH STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN

The East 4th Street Community Garden is hosting its annual leaf drive through Sunday, November 14th. Bring your leaves to the garden during its open hours on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Leaves will be mulched for use as compost. Bring them in clear plastic bags or paper bags. Roots, branches, woody plant matter, street litter, or other contamination can't be accepted.

Big Reuse will set up a table in front of the garden on Wednesday, November 10th,  from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to hand out free leaf collection bags.

The East Fourth Street Community Garden is part of the New York City Parks Department's GreenThumb, the largest community garden program in the United States.
