Windsor Coffee is serving Cold Brew coffee again. The imported beans for this seasonal coffee drink are not available during the winter months.
Cold brew is created by steeping medium-to-coarse ground coffee in room temperature water for 15-18 hours and then filtering out the grounds. The result is a richly-flavored, clean cup of coffee without sediment. Cold Brew uses time, rather than heat, to extract the coffee's flavor.
Iced coffee and a variety of other specialty iced drinks are also served at Windsor Coffee. Iced coffee is brewed like any regular coffee, cooled down, and then poured over ice.
Everything served at this friendly, neighborhood coffee ba, owned by Karen and Mark Newfeld, is Brooklyn-based, including Oslo coffee, Brooklyn Biscuits, and Colson pastries.
